    Hi,

I am using the No Sidebar Pro theme and want to get rid o fat every first full-width post being displayed. I saw a tutorial by Brad Dalton about how to make every post preview as full-width. But I want the opposite: To view a regular grid of posts (alternating between 1/3 and 2/3 width) and remove that first extra large image at the top of the front page.

I know I can solve this easily by hiding the first post with CSS, but that's a poor practice and I instead want to tweak how the rows and post boxes are displayed.

    Any ideas?

You would need to modify the CSS for the Front Page which uses nth-of-type. This is how that works :
    https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/sel_nth-of-type.asp

You would also need to modify the PHP code in the front page.php file which uses a counter to add classes to posts so the posts display at different widths using CSS.

Not a quick and easy modification and may take some time to get right.

Brilliant. I'lll have a go at it.

Speaking of images sizes, I would guess that means that all post snippets on the front page are loading full-size images and resizing via CSS?
