In Outreach Pro, you can only set the Posts page if you choose to set the homepage to a static page in the Reading settings.

Like most using Outreach Pro, I'm not using a static page for the homepage, I'm using the homepage widgets. However, I still need a posts/archive page.

What is the workaround for this limitation? There is no archive template file with Outreach Pro, so I can't assign one to an archive page.

I've noticed this limitation with other Genesis themes. This week I just happen to be working on a new Outreach Pro site.

You can create you own blog page using custom fields.

I will try that. Thank you!

I got the custom field method to work. To show all posts like a true archive page, I had to create a dummy category and do a "not in" query. Be nice to have a more elegant solution for Genesis instead of a hack but it will do.

@spacebar they removed those templates in 3.0 June 6, 2019 - https://studiopress.github.io/genesis/changelog/. If you need the blog or archive files back, you can add them yourself. It won't harm anything if you do.
