I am using the Workstation pro theme and my portfolios are laid out good for my site and my friends website does not have the added custome post types to have his portfolio page look right.

Here is what the plugin says is required and was hoping that someone may be able to help me figure out what I need to add the workstation format to his genesis theme.

This plugin doesn’t change how portfolio items are displayed in your theme. You’ll need to add templates for archive-portfolio.php and single-portfolio.php if you want to customize the display of portfolio items.

Does anyone know how I would get those features from the workstation pro theme and add them to his files to make work?

Any help is very much appreciated and Thank you in advance for any advice.

His theme is Agent press pro if that helps in any way

What plugin are you referring to?

You can copy over the files from the Minimum Pro theme. This requires the use of code to create your portfolio CPT.

    Or

You can use the Genesis Portfolio Pro plugin.

    OK.

I was trying to find the php files for the portfolios on my theme but had no luck.

Would you know where the post type php files are in each theme's files?

Thanks for responding and any help is very appreciated

    Have a good night.

You can add the CPT using code or a plugin.

If you use code, you will also need to add the template files.

If you use the plugin, the template are already included.

    Thanks Brad,

I like the basic blog style layout to my portfolio and may just do a redesign of his site with the Workstation pro theme to call it a wrap.

Was just hoping to figure out where those damn php files were so I could just copy them over to his theme.

Thanks again for the help and enjoy your night. It is very appreciated as I know time is a valuable commodity.

I was trying to find the php files for the portfolios on my theme but had no luck.

There aren't any. Workstation Pro does not have a built in portfolio.

If you're using a plugin for this, just add the plugin to the other site. The plugin uses the default styling for your theme and some from the plugin.

In other words - just try the plugin on his site and see how it looks.

    Add css as needed.

The reply you got before was telling you to add those template files IF you wanted to make further customizations than the PLUGIN provides. It was not stating those were included in the theme.

    Hi Andrea,

Thank you for your feedback. And for now I will use the Genesis portfolio plugin as it is sufficient and I was not seeing what it was able to do as another portfolio plugin was still activated and once deactivated, it allowed the plugin to work well enough.

Thank you for your feedback and your time taken to respond to my issue.

    Have a great day.
