not needed to show any pages or home page

Try the code in this tutorial

You will need to modify the hook position genesis_before_entry

and conditional tag is_singular('post')

You can Add widget at the TOP for sidebar. You can also use : https://wordpress.org/plugins/quick-adsense-reloaded/
