I was wondering if anyone knew of or is presently using a Photo /Image credit attribution Plugin on their blog.

Our blog will be very image intensive focusing on the wedding industry and while each vendor's will know ahead of time we'll be using their images in advance,  we will want to create an attribution link  that reads for example:  Images by "John Doe Photography" whereas the words  "John Doe Photography" will be hyperlinked at the bottom of the post or right below the last image. Again this will change depending on whoevery supplies the images at the time.

We won't be using Flicker or Creative Commons images for the most part but just looking for an easy way to have a field presented where we can just enter this information in the post easily, so it displays and positions the attribution link the same each time.

There are a couple plugins I had found , one called "Image Credits" by Adam Capriola but its only been downloaded 87 and while it says it's compatible with 3.5 it appears to be this authors first and only plugin. So should I even risk it?

The second one is "Post Credits" by Rodolfo Martínez but his hasn't even been updated for 2 years and the only thing I can find for his plugin in other reviewers comments, is a link to someone else's "modified plugin" for the same so that it does with with WP 3.51.

If someone has used either one of these and their experiences with both it would be appreciated.

More importantly though perhaps some of you know of another plugin that would do what we need it to do and work well with 3.51.

    Thanks for your help!

You can always remove the plugin if it doesn't work.

You could also use custom fields and write up a function to pull the field into a spot at the end of the article.

True. If I actually "knew" how to write code like that LOL

The Image Credits is a new plugin to the repository that would explain why it's only been downloaded 87 times - it's new. Look at the date in - since Dec. 23 it's been downloaded 87 times. Maybe give it a test-run.

Well maybe I will.  If it doesn't work I'll just deactivate it I guess. Then on to plan 2 of course! 🙂
