I'm using the midnight child theme and am trying to add an additional menu item. Every time I add a menu item, the bottom one on the current menu drops off (in this case a link to the online shop)! When I say drop off - I don't mean that it just drops off from view on the site, it does not save on the menu. I have 88 items in total.

Does anybody know if WordPress (or the theme) has a capacity? Or any other ideas that could explain this phenomenon?

Yes, I think there's max number of item for menu. Read about this long time ago and there are lots of threads in WP about this issue
