Moved menu above header, no responsiveness

Hi,

I'm using the Outreach Pro theme for a project and I've used these lines in my custom_functions.php to move the primary menu to the top of the header:

//Move Primary menu above header
remove_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'genesis_do_nav' );
add_action( 'genesis_before_header', 'genesis_do_nav' );

It works well until I look at the site via phone; the menu seems to be fine but when you open it, it doesn't expand the rest of the site and the menu items are above and behind some of the page elements.

To reproduce: go to the site, http://clockfixer.com , on a smart phone. Show the top menu by pressing the three dashes and you will see the menu expand, but it appears over the logo and header but under the top slider.

How can I fix this? I would like for the menu to act like it does for the default position. Is it possible?

Upon further review, it appears that calling the menu at the genesis_before_header hook may be the issue, as the nav is generated outside the site .wrap. I'd like to call it at the beginning of the genesis_header hook but I'm not sure how to do that yet. I'll post again with a solution if I happen to find it before someone else.
