Monochrome Pro and removing Before Footer CTA section on 'Contact' page

Regards Monochrome Pro I wish to remove the Before Footer CTA section on the 'Contact' Page. The following code:

add_action( 'genesis_after_content_sidebar_wrap', 'footer_widget_areas' );
function footer_widget_areas() {

if ( is_page( array( 'about', 'contact' ) ) ) {
remove_action( 'genesis_before_footer_cta', 'genesis_footer_widget_areas' );
}

}

when added to child theme’s functions.php, sadly fails to do so.

Any ideas on how to do so would be most gratefully received.

Try this code

Good to see you have a go at it but the reason your code doesn't work is :

genesis_before_footer_cta is not a action hook

and

genesis_footer_widget_areas is not a custom function added in the Monochrome Pro child theme.
