    Hi:

My site's current RSS feed for the blog is at https://solohacks-academy.com/feed. When syndicating my feed to other people's sites, I want to remove some items from my blog post (for example I have an embedded gravity form for subscribers which should be removed).

Is there a plugin that allows me to modify my blog's feed when I give others my feed to syndicate my blog posts?

Thanks for all the help I can get.

    Regards,

    Shobha Ponnappa

If you set up your feed to display excerpts and not the full content, you wouldn't need to modify the output of the feed. Go to Settings > Reading and select Summary. This way your readers will need to come to the website to read the full version of each post and this is better for SEO.

Unfortunately that idea may not work for me since I am giving my RSS feed to a big magazine site that wants to syndicate my blog posts. So I have to give the full blog post, but if there was a way to "hide" the unwanted parts of the blog post in the RSS feed it would be great. I am not a techie so I need some plugin that can help me use some emthod to hide a paragraph or two from my blog posts RSS.

Specifically, if you notice this post: https://solohacks-academy.com/how-to-build-a-knockout-brand-identity-for-knowledge-commerce/

I need to hide the "subscribe to my newsletters" box and the box below that for "requesting a pdf version of my article". These two items are part of the blog post but should not be in the RSS feed.

Is there any HTML script or code snippet I can use to hide these 2 parts from my RSS feed?

You wouldn't be able to hide certain parts of blog posts from the feed because you may want to hide different things from different blog posts. This is more a WordPress related question than Genesis. You might want to add a forum post on this here - https://wordpress.org/support/forum/miscellaneous/.

Okay, I'll do that. Thanks so much.
