    Hey guys,

I'm using a customized version of Modern Studio Pro for my new website (https://jndr.art), and am trying to get everything set up for the main page to show custom post excerpts, usually with a featured image or video.

It's mostly working fine, as can be seen in the most recent post on the home page, but I'm hoping to find a way to force the layout to add a "Read More" link at the end of excerpts which links to the full post.

I've tried looking for this, but most fixes involve sites already having a default ellipsis ("...") at the end which can be changed to say "Read more," but as you can see my site features neither.

Thanks so much for any help!

Your theme may include custom code which modifies the default output for the content limit and/or excerpt, otherwise, you can use code like this to add a read more link to the excerpt.

The code to modify the default output varies depending on what your Genesis > Theme Settings > Content Archives are set to which can be either the Entry content or Entry excerpts.

    Hey Brad,

It worked! Thanks so much for your help. This was one of the last little details to get my site functioning the way I want, so thanks a lot.
