    HI Everyone,

I Have a few questions regarding making our website mobile responsive. On Google webmasters it is throwing up a few problems such as widths, font size etc for mobile & tablets.

Could anyone give some advice on what CSS needs to be added and where to ensure our website is fully responsive. Plus if someone could perhaps take a look at the website and give us a few pointers on what needs to be done that would be fab!

    Thanks again 😀

Just to let you know we are using Corporate theme which as far as I'm aware is not mobile responsive and has fixed widths etc.

    Hi Whiskymac,

Making the theme responsive isn't as simple as putting in a few css snippets, I'm afraid =\

You'll have to rewrite some of the theme styles, to be sure, but the other variable is your site design; your menu isn't responsive and you'll have to rethink how you're organizing your content.

The easiest solution would be to start with a newer theme.

If it were me, I would start there and look into best practices in designing the navigation you have.

    Hi Patrick,

Thanks for getting back in touch regarding making our website mobile responsive.

The answer you gave is the answer I was dreading lol! Regarding our menu we would want to make this different on mobile as instead of it being long & vertical we would something smaller, more compact with a drop down option to select what category you would want.

However I have a few questions regarding this if you could help me out a little - is there anyway to make our theme more responsive in the short term? Also when you buy a mobile responsive theme we don't want the design which is used on desktop to be used on mobile (obviously we would want mobile to be more compact etc) is this possible and.....how the heck do we do this lol

For example when you go onto Netmums desktop it a different layout to their mobile website but with the same content - this woudl be the sort of thing we woudl be after.

Sorry to unleash all of these questions onto you but if you could help that woudl be fab!

    Thanks again 😀

Thanks for the help and suggestions! I will take a look through those plug-ins but am I right in saying this would be a short term solution and would still need to go down the route of buying a responsive theme and then customizing different scripts to show on different devices?

If anyone can give a little help I would really, REALLY appreciate it! 😀
