    Hey Folks,

My name's John and I'm a complete beginner here - I'd greatly appreciate any help.

I have just a few changes left to the page I'm putting together on Minimum Pro (for an Architectural Illustration website) and have run into custom code territory ( Gah! Runs away...) .

What I need to do is this : Underneath the menu bar when you scroll down is a section for a Blog Post ( with a linkable title, email address, date, "read more" caption, etc) - I want all that to go away so I can just display Plain Static Text for the explanation of my service. How do I do this?

So far I've tried placing a Text Widget in the space above that blog post ( with the simple text I want), and leaving that blog post blank but it still displays "Sorry, no content matched your criteria." where the Blog post was. I also attempted to place a page in the space where the blog post was specified, which didn't work either.

I apologize that I'm likely not using proper terminology at all here - I'm not a web designer and never will be, but thanks ahead of time for any help!

Could you add a link to your site so that we can see specifically what you're trying to do?
