    Hi there,

I am using the Metro Pro theme and I am having issues with the home-bottom section. Even when I have the featured posts widget set exactly as the set-up instructions, the featured images appear as huge as the home-top section.

Ideally instead of a thumbnail, I'd like to have the featured image at 'home-middle' size left aligned, and then have the text to the right of the image.

I have been looking at the Firebug inspector and found some code that adjusts the size of the featured image, only it affects other images in other sections too so am cautious about touching it.

How can I fix this problem without affecting the images in other sections of the site?

    Any help much appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Jess

    Use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin.

    Hi Anita,

Thanks, I can try this. But what I'm not quite understanding is regarding the fact that the images are big to be begin with. They display fine as large images, it's just I want them to be smaller and they don't display smaller when I select the relevant size in the featured posts widget. When I play with some code they look totally fine thumbnail or "home-middle" size. It's just that changing this code affects other images in a way I don't want them too.

I completely understand that if the image is small to begin with and I want it bigger, that they can't simply be "upsized". But if the image is big enough already and seems down-scalable, why isn't it showing at the appropriate size selected?

Did you switch from one theme to another? If so, then you need to regenerate the thumbnail images so they correct the size. Just use the plugin and it will fix it.

    Hi Anita,

Thank you - I have been able to get these images to display correctly now. The only issue now is that the post title is not aligned with the top edge of the image. How can I bring this up?

    Many, many thanks!
