    Hi,

I am a developer with years of Studiopress experience, and consider myself upper level wordpress knowledge, and I am having trouble with one of the very basics of wordpress with the metro theme.

I can't set the "static page" in the reading settings.

    Simple, right?

It sets it, but I reload the site over and over and it is indeed stuck on "latest posts" no matter what page I set. Even in the page listing, the page I select is listed as "home page"

I am at a complete loss. This is such a basic thing and something I do in my sleep. Is this a feature of the Metro Pro theme that it can only show the default Recent Posts page?

I have disabled all plugins, tried changing it to multiple different pages, same effect. It's driving me nutty. I even tried resetting my permalinks, same thing.

Any advice? There has to be something going on. :/

Note: Switching to another theme correctly shows the set page.

Maybe it's just the way the theme is set up, but just making sure. Thanks.
