I ran vailidator.w3.org and received a number of errors. I am told this impact my SEO?

I don't write code, so not sure what to do about it if it is a problem.

Error Line 44, Column 266: The element footer must not appear as a descendant of the header element.
    … itemtype="http://schema.org/WPFooter"><div class="wrap"><div class="gototop">…
    ✉
Error Line 70, Column 4: Element ul not allowed as child of element ul in this context. (Suppressing further errors from this subtree.)

Contexts in which element ul may be used:
      Where flow content is expected.
      Content model for element ul:
Zero or more li and script-supporting elements.
Error Line 78, Column 328: Attribute type not allowed on element iframe at this point.
      …amp;rel=0&theme=light" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></span></p>
      Attributes for element iframe:
      Global attributes
      src
      srcdoc
      name
      sandbox
      seamless
      allowfullscreen
      width
      height
Error Line 78, Column 328: The frameborder attribute on the iframe element is obsolete. Use CSS instead.
      …amp;rel=0&theme=light" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></span></p>

Without being able to see your site, it's hard to know what might be causing the errors. If you put in the URL of your child theme's demo and it doesn't return errors, you'll know the issue is with a plugin or the content itself. There are also a number of services to clean up validation errors, so you might look into something like that if you aren't comfortable with coding.

Can you recommend any plug-ins that help clean up the errors. I do not know code.

I don't know of any plugins; as I said before, you'd probably be better off hiring a service to look over everything and clean it up. The rates are usually pretty reasonable from what I've seen.
