    Hello,

    I'm using the Executive Pro Theme with the Responsive slider

    Website is here href="https://www.muddguitars.com/

    On the slider, I would like to make the dark grey background behind the text excerpt transparent, any idea where I could do that? I've tried looking for the CSS code which controls the text excerpt background color but with no luck.

    Thanks so much for any help anyone can offer.

    Try adding !important to your CSS declarations

    You can inspect the element, find the CSS rule and modify the value for the background property. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYyQv0CSZOE&feature=emb_title

    A declaration consists of a property and value like this :

    background: white; or background-color: white;

    To can add important! like this

    background: white!important; or background-color: white!important;

    Hey Brad,

    So I've been trying to figure this out... I did the 'inspect' and it said the code was in the css for the executive pro theme. I found the code in the css which is

    .content .genesis_responsive_slider .slide-excerpt {
    background-color: #222;
    filter: alpha(opacity=100);
    height: 100%;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 4% 5.5%;
    opacity: 1;

    When I was doing the inspect element I was able to click on the color and change it, it changed it to #2220 which made it transparent but didn't save it. So I edited the css to make the color #2220, and I also tried changing the opacity to 000, but no matter what I change them to, the color is not transparent on the site. To test I was actually working on the correct css, I tried changing the color to red to see if that worked, but it still didn't change it on the site.

    I'm sorry for being such a muppet Brad... I thought I'd figured it out.

    Here is a screenshot of the inspect and what it pulled up.

    Thanks for any advice.

    Try using transparent as the value for your CSS property.
