Hi,
I am trying to make two edits to my Mai Lifestyle theme and can't get it work.
1. I am trying to increase the font size of the breadcrumbs. Everything I've searched for shows how to make other changes to to them but not increase the font size.
2. I am trying to customize the Author Box. I entered in CSS code and flushed my cache but changes aren't made.
Below is the code I am using to add a background color, add a border, and increase font size.
.author-box{
background-color: #e2e2e2;
padding: 23px;
box-shadow: 0 0 10px rgba(0,0,0,.1);
border: 1px solid #b3b3b3;
}/*changing font size in author box description*/
.author-box-content{
font-size: 17px;
}If it is any help, the Gravatar image does not show up in my Author Box. When I go into Users and scroll down to that section, there is just a blank space. If I hold down my mouse button and go over that area I can see something is there, I just can't see it.
Additionally, I was using the plugin Simple Author Box. When I have that activated, the image in my Genesis Author Box shows up. When I deactivate that plugin, my Genesis Author Box disappears.

Still clueless with the Author Box issue.
Thanks!

It's worth mentioning Mai Theme has settings in Customizer > Mai Site Layout > Boxed Containers where you can enable/disable the boxed look (border/padding) for specific elements like the author box.
You can increase the font size by getting more specific in your CSS. Try this as an example:
.author-box .author-box-content { font-size: 20px; }
The gravatar/avatar is a separate issue, something else is likely causing an issue that's breaking them from display. When I inspect the markup it looks like it is a blank image? Strange.

I just have the missing author box image that I'll have to dig into some more.
Thanks for your help.

January 27, 2020 at 6:18 am #496226djdulin27MemberI have a Gravatar account set up. The issue is that the image just doesn't show up at all.
When I would highlight it and right click to inspect, the code shows the image was there, but also "blank" was being added for some reason.
After a lot of digging, somehow the author bio image script was missing from the functions.php file.

Can you clarify what the issue was?
Mai Theme shouldn't require any extra code to get avatars to display.

I'm not a great coder, but when I added the author bio image script back in after deactivating the plugin, the gravatar started showing up.
