    My current theme at PregnancyMagazine.com has plenty of spots for ads. In the StudioPress themes, are there ways to add preset ads within the main column (vs. sidebar)?

    What StudioPress themes are you looking for? Each one is coded differently. Most do not have ad spaces per se but I can answer this better if you have a theme or two in mind.

    I'm also using Magazine Pro. I've experimented with some ad plugins. You might want to look at these and see if they'll do what you want:

    Content Views - This lets you create custom layout sections on your home page. These can include ads spots. This is a truly powerful plugin. See my home page for examples: https://MovieDebuts.com - If you scroll down my page to a section called Gaming News you'll see that I insert a 300x250 banner inside that particular group.

    AdRotate - This plugin lets you easily create groups of ads that can be rotated dynamically. Generally speaking, this plugin doesn't specify the placement so you might have to use one of the above plugins for that, but the main reason I use it is because it lets you insert and rotate ads inside an article, such as after the 3rd paragraph, 5th paragraph, etc. without requiring another plugin for placement.

    If you have any success with these, please let us know. There are so many plugins and not much time to experiment.

    Nicely done - great to see a real site using the template. I'll give these a try and see what else I need.

    These come free with my host which is nice, but they aren't particularly rich in terms of functionality. None come with a slide show for example, and I hate to keep loading in more plugins, a notorious source of hacking and speed leaks.

    Thanks! I'll report back if I have some success with other ad plugins but that's a good start.

    PS: Know what you mean about the time. You start some small thing and it's down the rabbit hole!
