Login without a trail?

I want to run a social network that goes against convention.  I want people who join to be able to be totally anonymous.  In fact, I insist on total anonymity.  Members will have a username that doesn't reveal their actual name.  I don't want there to be any way that the members can be tracked.  Is that a possibility?
