My site has developed a slightly annoying issue that happens only when I'm working on writing a post.
8 times out of 10, when I click "save" on a post I'm working on, the post saves but the browser stops and doesn't load again. I then have to click "reload" and the browser asks me if I'm sure I want to resubmit. I click OK and the post I'm working on finally reloads and the save has been done.
Admittedly, it is very annoying having to work like that.
I can't figure out if it's a Worpress issue, Genesis issue, hosting server timeout or browser problem. This has been going on for the last 2-3 months at least. I've ignored the nuisance and have kept working on the site but now I'm fed up and I want to find the root of the problem.
Anyone here has had this problem? Any tips on what might be going on?
This only happens on the post writing backend screen. The actual site front end works fine.

Not sure why, but the Fast Secure Contact Form by Mike Challis has always worked brilliantly and it broke recently. I fixed it and then anytime I had it on, it would cause problems on the site. So I turned it off.
Then I noticed I'm having problems when I activate Jetpack or any plugin that uses a Jetpack module. So for now I turned both of those off and I'm working just fine. However, I think one of my other plugins - one of the actual active ones is the culprit that's causing the clash when I turn either of those other two on. Just don't know which.
Not exactly sure what to make of it.

I set it up as a private post. Not sure why, but I felt like posting it private. Please let me know if you can see it. -Danny
December 16, 2013 at 1:10 pm #79510nutsandboltsMemberYes, mods can see private replies. 🙂 Looking at the site now to see if I can find any conflicts on the front end (though I imagine they'll all be in the dashboard).

Once the inspector loads, click the Console tab to see if any errors are showing there. If you get any, paste them here.

Gotta go backup first before I try any of that, but I'll do it and report back.
By the way, I just read your "2 Years of Self-Employment" article and it was GREAT. I've been looking for someone to work with for debugging and to setup new features on the site. If you are good with code, PHP and CSS please let me know. I've been building websites since '03, but I'm a designer, not a coder and there's some things I just don't know how to do.
I have friends that I could hire, but many are all too busy.
December 16, 2013 at 1:26 pm #79523nutsandboltsMemberThanks for the kind words! I appreciate that. I am a coder first and a designer second - I'm much more comfortable in a text editor than anywhere else. Feel free to contact me through the site if you need help; I stay pretty booked but try to block out some hours each week for helping and/or training other designers. 🙂
