Lifesyle Pro/WordPress: Embedding Youtube Video Problem

Hello,

I'm trying to embed a youtube video on my wordpress blog using the Lifestyle Pro Genesis Child theme. I've followed other forum advice of just copying the url into the insert link and letting wordpress automatically embed into the post.

Wordpress does automatically embed making this step very easy, however the problem I have is that the video that is embedded is some random video of that particular playlist or most often the most recently uploaded video of that playlist.

How do I embed a particular single youtube video without embedding the entire playlist? (especially a playlist that starts from the start)

Typically you just paste the video URL into the body of the post, no need to use the insert link button.

Are you pasting the full playlist URL, or are you pasting just the URL for the single video?

If the URL has parameters beginning with ampersands in it after the actual video ID, then you need to remove that from the URL to get just the single video.
