I want the header image to cover the width of the header - the entire area that now is aqua, above the main menu in the lifestyle pro theme:
In the early days of wordpress we had headers that spanned the width of the site. That's what I'm going for, with the image portion of the header centered, but MUCH bigger than what is currently considered the "header image".

Header Image Specifications. A header image that fits within the Default WordPress Theme is about 192 x 740 pixels. If you are replacing the header within any WordPress Theme, check the size of the header image and then find a replacement that matches that size.
