    I have followed the advice of a few posts in here on how to change the header upload size from 300 x 120 to, what I've found with the measuring tool to be 1070 x 180.

    I've edited the child theme functions php file for these dimensions, and the :

    .site-header {
    background-color: #fff;
    padding: 48px;
    padding: 4.8rem;
    overflow: hidden;
    height: 180px;
    width: 1070px;
    }

    Now my header looks like its not wide enough, and its cut off, or not tall enough?

    What I want is the custom header to take up the full header area that is light green right now.
    There are a few posts on here that suggest doing what I did, and adding other CSS before the media queries. Nothing seems to be working?

    Can anyone point out what I'm doing wrong? Your help would be greatly appreciated!
