    Hi,

We have a site in test status using the Lexicon theme which prospective
users have commented favourably on; the colour scheme matches client colors.
Have combed it with various security plugins and nothing ghastly seems to be
    flagged.

However, it being a very old theme, does anyone have comments or advice re
    hardening pls?

(No, changing to another theme altogether is not a good option, especially if
it's something from Theme Forest or Envato . . .)

    TIA,
    Strat

The Lexicon theme doesn't appear to be a Studio Press theme, at least it's not in the Studio Press theme archive. It's being sold by PremiumWP.com. There's no telling what changes the theme developer may have made to change the way it works with the Genesis Framework. A lot of third-party developers take liberty with the code. You best bet for getting a solid answer is to reach out to the theme developer directly if they're still in business. The theme developer details should be in the comment section of style.css.
