    Ok, I have a site I am working on

    beta.hcf.cc

    It is running Parallax Pro and I have a featured posts widget in home-section-2 on the homepage.

    I changed the background of the section to a dark grey. Now, I just want to change the color of the title "Upcoming Events" but I am not that good at using Firebug, and I can't find exactly what class is styling it.

    It says <h4 class="widget-title widgettitle">Upcoming Events</h4> in Firebug,

    But I just can't seem to get it right. Anyone help?

    Thanks so much

    🙁 "The server at beta.hcf.cc can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. "

    This should work:

    .home-section-2  H4 {
    	color: lime;
    }

    Hey there,

    The link isn't working. Try this:

    .home-section-2 .widget-title

    If it doesn't work and you get the website link fixed just reply and I will look again.

    Take care,

    Tom and I must've been replying at the same time 🙂 I think either snippet should work.

    Wow, I am really confused. That link works fine for me. Maybe it needs the http? I literally copied out of the Safari menu bar. PLEASE let me know if this doesn't work.

    I appreciate your reply. I am still learning how specific I need to be with CSS. There are so many classes that Firebug digs up, it's hard to know what I need!

    Let me try out your solutions. Thanks for taking the time to respond!

    Ok, I must be doing something wrong, neither of those worked for me. I am using Genesis Extender for all of my customizations because I love using the Front End CSS tool to help me learn. I know I have that configured properly because all of my other customizations are there. I just can't seem to target that dang h4!!

    Hoping you guys can see my site so you don't think I am crazy!

    It looks like you have a custom stylesheet using:

    .styles .home-even .widget-title{
    color: #013440;
    font-family: Oswald;
    }

    Which also changes the widget title on home-section-4

    If you want to style these individually I would remove this code and use either snippets provided by Tom or I to style each.

    .home-section-2 h4 ( or .home-section-2 .widget-title )
    .home-section-4 h4 ( or .home-section-4 .widget-title )

    example:

    .home-section-2 h4{
    color: *insert color code*;
    font-family: Oswald;
    }

    I hope this helps!

    Krysta!

    You figured it out! Silly me forgot that I had yet another plugin running, the Styles plugin. Once I remembered that, I just went in and changed it there. Thanks so much for your help!
