Is there a plugin widget that does this?:

Displays selected content (could be a featured post or page) but selects WHICH post or page depending on the page the widget area is on.

To clarify - say you have 3 pages: Service1, Service2 and Serivce3 and each page uses the content-sidebar layout. You add the widget to the sidebar widget area but rather than selecting a specific post or class of posts by taxonomy as you do with Genesis Featured Posts, the widget selects a post by knowing something about the page it's on. So it knows it's on Service1 page and therefore displays a specific featured post relevant to that page.

You could use a related posts widget. Please search for this in the WordPress plugin directory.

You might also look at Genesis Simple Sidebars. It lets you create as many custom sidebars as you want and assign them to whatever page you want. Pretty sweet.
