I am trying too increase the padding on home section one on my theme parallax pro, so that my background photo will be full size, as I am using little text on this page, the footer sits half way up the page and I want to bring it to the bottom. I am using an iMac with Safari. I have installed Firebug-Lite which shows me precisely which areas to increase but it does not allow me to make the changes to the padding on so that I can see what the effect might be, can someone tell me why that might be.

I have nevertheless identified the area involved but cannot find this text <div class="home-odd home-section-1 widget-area"> when I go to Appearance editor and am therefore unable to make any changes, can someone please tell me why I cannot find this. My email address is [email protected]

    Kind Regards

    Mike

    Hi Mike,
If I understand it correctly, you want to make the social media part of the website smaller.
To do so go to .footer widgets on line 1595 and change the padding from 100px to lets say 50px.

    And just a tip:
Install google chrome on your mac and you will be able to use Inspect to easily preview the changes you want to make on your website.

    Regards
    Bartek

    HI Bartek

Thank you very much for your advice, I will install Google Chrome, Safari is not very user friendly, the lines are not numbered and programmes like inspect cannot be used. My problem is that the footer of my home page only goes to the bottom of the screen if I write a lot of text on the homepage to fill it, consequently my background image is hidden behind the footer. I wanted to try to fill the page with blank text if that was possible could not find a way. It was suggested to me tha the way is to increase the padding either on the top or the bottom. With your suggestion I will be able to easily see the consequences of making different changes. I do not think this is making the social media part of my website smaller, it is hopefully pushing it back to the bottom of the screen.

    Kind Regards

    Mike
