    Hi all,

I'm looking to improve the TinyMCE built into WordPress and am looking for the best option. I need to be able to add various classes (and sometimes custom styles) all within single posts. So far, I've been adding these classes manually but that's really tedious.

Is TinyMCE Advanced the best option? I've looked at WP Edit Pro and am not sure if it is worth paying for.

I guess more important/specifically is whether I can easily make the editor aware of my Genesis styles without having to specifically style the editor. This way I'm more or less just applying theme classes instead of throwing a bunch of overrided styles.

I would love to be able to just style the entry classes and then the tables, ol, ul, etc (so they aren't theme specific).. but a couple clients of mine have given me copy that they "designed" in desktop apps and want reproduced pixel perfect on web. UGH. I'd almost do a screenshot of I were THAT guy.

    Hi,

you can add custom styles to TinyMCE by adding a bit of code:
    https://codex.wordpress.org/TinyMCE_Custom_Styles

WP Edit Pro seems to have a user interface for that.

I don't think TinyMCE Advanced will do what you want.
