    Hi.

    Most images in the News theme are displayed incorrectly in IE8.  They get squashed.

    http://demo.studiopress.com/news/

    I have fixed it like this:

    <code>img { width: auto; }</code>

    Please let me know if there is a better way. 🙂

    I am using the theme here: http://socialpolitisk-forening.dk/

    IE8 is indeed really stupid bad with images.  I have used explicit width to fix it.  Your method is actually better, because it's more generalized - I'd never tried "auto".  So as far as I know, you have used the best method!

    Hi guys,

    I've got the same problem here: http://blog.stratasys.com

    Thanks for the code tip Vayu, but where did you implement it? When I tried adding it to my CSS, it blew out the width of the other thumbnails on my home page.

    Any help here would be much appreciated.

    You need to look at the HTML in the context that you're interested in, and then be more specific with your code. Let's say you just wanted it in the "Home Middle Left" area which I assume is some widget. I take note of the HTML surrounding that, and find a class I can use.

    .home-middle-left img  {
      width: auto;
    }

    Look at your HTML and you'll see what I'm talking about. Now you have the principle, and you can apply it.

    Ooh! It was a bad image upload from the previous site design!

    Your code was spot on - they just had a monster of a photo with an incomplete path that hadn't had "featured image" set correctly!

    Thanks so much!
