    Hello!

    Until some months ago, I could easily change the Google font used in my blog gdamas.com. I just had to make some changes in functions.php:

    //* Enqueue Raleway and Pathway Gothic Google fonts
    add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'news_google_fonts' );
    function news_google_fonts() {

         wp_enqueue_style( 'google-fonts', '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Alegreya:400,400i,700,700i', array(), CHILD_THEME_VERSION );

    }

    I also changed here in style.css:

    body {
    	background-color: #f6f5f2;
    	color: #424242;
    	font-family: 'Alegreya', sans-serif;
    	font-size: 18px;
    	font-weight: 400;
    	line-height: 1.625;
    }

    The same name for the font in both functions.php and style.css: ALEGREYA.

    ALEGREYA was my choice the last time.

    Well... What happens now? No matter which font I choose from Google Fonts, they DO NOT WORK in my blog anymore. I choose the font name, the size, bold+italics... but nothing works. If I change the current Alegreya, the new specified font will not appear. Visitors will see some generic font like Arial.

    Maybe there's a problem with my theme. Maybe it was never updated (aren't theme updates automatic?). What makes me think about an outdated theme version is that until now the main menu is NOT collapsed when viewed from a mobile device. Very strange.

    Please, what should I do about the Google font?

    Thank you!

    Have you cleared all caches? I was working on a new site last night and changed the fonts for the Infinity Pro theme. I also changed them to load locally rather than pulling them from Google. It drove me batty for about 15 minutes as to why the fonts weren't changing until I remembered that I didn't turn off SiteGround's server caching on the new site. I always turn off caching when developing a new site, but this time I forgot. As soon as I turned it off and refreshed the page, the fonts came right up.

    I am having the same issue but in my case the fonts display in IE but not in Chrome.

    Were you able to resolve the issue, Glauco?
