Dear Studio Press crowd, how was this http://babalucas.com/portfolio/  page Created? (i got it from Studiopress' Showcase)

Is it built in functionality... something like 4 columns Page?

Or is it a Post?

Can a static  HomePage be made look like that?

I am trying to figure out Apparition theme. May i ask you how to achieve this Columns page?  --> http://demo.studiopress.com/apparition/columns/  (cannot figure out how to make those columns (they seem to look promising in mobile version)
