    hello,
    theme eleven40
there are many possible layouts. sidebar-content, content-sidebar, etc.

I have used some layouts for some posts, some for others, etc.

Sure I could go one by one and set them all to full width content manually from within the dashboard, but I want to find a quicker way. Also because I don't remember all posts among hundreds of them which have a different layout.

    So,
    my question,

in my CSS file how do I go and set that content-sidebar behaves exactly as full width content?

I guess I have to replace the content-sidebar CSS with the full width content CSS,
but that seems to appear in many places (using chrome developer).

    Any idea?

    thank you
    Fabio

You can try the Genesis > Theme Settings > Layout Settings

    or

    hi Brad, thanks.
I've tried just now and it doesn't seem to work, unless this requires me to be running the latest version of Eleven40, which is not the case.

I've tried both on the actual website and on a test site.

    Here's the test site:

I just set that to be content-sidebar and pasted that full-width code at the bottom of function.php

Is it because it's not the latest eleven40?

    thank you

Make sure the code includes the right conditional tag or doesn't include one if you want to change the layout globally.

I just tested the code on the Eleven40 Pro child theme and it works.

Also, the post i linked to contains different reasons the code may not work.

    Hi Brad,
yes my site is running the Eleven40 and not the Eleven40Pro.

In your website, in your example, you write the code for the 'single post', which is exactly what I was looking for. To have the single posts to be full width. So it was easy, I just copy-pasted that code as it is written, with the conditional tag is_single, at the bottom of function.php. I'm not using any layout plugin, and I was not expecting it to change layout on archives/home pages, but only on single posts. But it doesn't seem to change it. Maybe it works with Eleven40Pro and not with Eleven40?

Anything else I should look for?

    Thank you
