I built a website use the theme Digital Pro.

When I go to share the website on Facebook an image from the footer of the website shows up, not the company logo. I want the client's company logo to show up as the featured image.

There is a page set as the homepage, which has a featured image, but that page doesn't actually appear as the homepage - all the home page widgets do. I also tried using a plugin to set a default Featured Image for the entire website but it didn't work either.

Is there some way to resolve this issue?

    Hi,

you need to set the open graph data.
You can use Jetpack and most SEO plugins (like Yoast SEO) for that.

To set the default image for Facebook, it's best to do so via Facebook Open Graph. The easiest way to do this is by installing the Yoast SEO plugin if you don't have it installed already and then choose your desired image in the Facebook settings. Here's an article detailing how to do it: https://yoast.com/social-media-optimization-with-wordpress-seo-by-yoast/.

    Hope this helps.

Try this if using Jetpack https://jetpack.com/2013/10/15/add-a-default-fallback-image-if-no-image/
