    Hello,
    i've copied a school website to a spare domain I have http://www.mikemcsharry.co.uk

    The theme is Education and used to have a "subtle" background. The school likes the bright colour you can now see but I think the corners on the frames are a bit too severe with this stronger background colour.

    i've been trying to make changes to the 'inner' section of the style.css sheet but I think I'm in the wrong place.

    the picture on http://www.mikemcsharry.co.uk/roundcorners/ shows what I'd like to round off.

    Thank you for any help or ideas

    Hi Mike,

    You can adjust the corners using this snippet of CSS, which can be placed in the bottom of your child theme stylesheet. (I can see that this will create some additional problems with padding/spacing on several elements.)

    .widget,
    #content {
    	border-radius: 10px;
    }

    The background colour is quite overpowering, Perhaps you can encourage the school to pursue a different design with a view to readability, accessibility and overall presentation for the school? The old Education theme is dated and is not responsive for use on mobiles and tablets. Education theme has been updated to Education Pro under Genesis 2.x and offers many advantages to this older design. You could also consider something along the lines of Beautiful Pro, Lifestyle Pro, News Pro or Magazine Pro (all from StudioPress) or one of the dozens of free themes available.

    hello Tom,
    Thank you for that advice, it's worked really well.

    I fully agree with all your comments there, and I'll be working my dummy site for them.
    I tweaked the 10px down to 5px and the slight rounding has made a surprisingly massive difference.

    At first glance it doesn' seem to have caused too many problems with spacing

    thank you
