    Hello All!

I wanted to run this by the Genesis folks before I started looking at vanilla WP solutions. Basically I am setting up a gallery of images (a portfolio if you will) of a local artist in my town. Creating the gallery is super easy as WP has the default gallery ability; however, I would also like to display around 6 images on the front page.

So this would be perfect if the Genesis - Featured Post widget could pick up a gallery instead of just posts, but that is essentially what I need. If I wasn't in a time crunch I'd try to make a custom plugin for it, but does anyone have any idea how to go about this in an easy fashion?

The site is still on my localhost so I can post a link quite yet, but any ideas would be super helpful.

    Thanks!

How about using the Gallery shortcode in a text widget that's placed inside a widget area on the front page?
