How to make my header/logo clickable

OK, I have tried 5 times to post this question. Lets see if it works this time.

I am trying to make my logo/header clickable. I have tried this tutorial(removed), but it overwrites the widget on the right.

I also tried this thread, (see below) but that didn't work either.

There is a small area in the top left (title) that is clickable which I have expanded using CSS, but the clickable area still remains the same size. Is there any way to change this or is there another solution.
