    WORDPRESS SETUP
    Genesis Child Theme: Executive Pro
    Plugin: Design Palette Pro (DPP)
    Hosting: Unix (Hostgator Shared Server)
Vocabulary Terms: Page, Slug, Category, Post (Specific meanings according to WordPress)
Custom: "News" is a page I created using WP New Page editor.

    BACKGROUND
Currently, the navigation menu consists of only Pages (and their "slugs") as the menu links. The paid plugin, Design Pallet Pro (DPP), makes it easy to do that.

Now, however, I am replacing the "News" Page with the "News" Category for one of those menu items. When the user clicks on "News" in the navigation menu I want the "News" Category page to appear.

    QUESTION
Is it possible to insert the "News" Category page into the main navigation menu? Does DPP provide a way to do it? Or must I modify the child theme code?

When the user clicks on "News" in the navigation menu I want the "News" Category page to appear.

I changed the "News" Page slug to "/news-page/".

I created the "News" Category with "/news/" as the slug.

The "News" Navigation Menu item used to land on the "/news/" slug, but with the change, it now lands on the "/news-page/" slug.

Category pages are generated dynamically by WordPress. Category pages are a basic WordPress function. On the Appearance/Menus page, select Categories on the left and check the category you want to display on the page. Then click Add to Menu.

    Thank you.
    That was the solution.
