I am completely new to Studio Press themes and Genesis Framework, but I start learning. In addition to the themes, I have also subscribed to Design Palette Pro, which proves very helpful for a non techie.

I am right now testing some of the themes in order to find the one most appropriate for a small blog (with long articles) that I want to modernize (until now, I have been using a basic, adequate, but non responsive theme, Blend). I have been playing with several Studio Press themes. It seems that Daily Dish could offer a good basis, but I have one small issue: there is a set number of signs in the introduction to each article. But I had designed my blog with an introduction of one or two paragraphs, and then the code <!--more--> would mark the end of what could be seen in the list of articles.

How to make a Studio Press theme such as Daily Dish ignore the set number of signs for the introductory lines, and go till it reaches the code <!--more--> ?

(There is a single column for the list of articles, not two parallel rows, thus there is no problem for differences in the number of signs in the first lines introducing each article.)

Probably something relatively easy to do for somebody more familiar with WP / Genesis than a beginner like myself. Anyway, I thank you in advance if anybody can provide the trick for doing it.

(Subsidiary question: if I change that, will it apply merely to Daily Dish theme, or to any theme that I might decide to use for that specific website in the future?)

    Hi,

the <!--more--> tag should be honored when you
change the setting in Genesis - Theme Settings - Content Archives - Display to Entry content.

These settings apply to any theme.

Many thanks for the explanation. Extremely useful: I had been misled by the word "Archives", and had not realized that the settings here would apply to any list of articles. Thus I substituted "260" with "0", and it was done. I had not understood that I should intervene there. Your answer has solved my problem!
