    What would be the approach to fit the desktop view onto mobile. I am not asking about the mobile responsive stuff, because in this case we want to shrink the desktop view to fit the mobile screen.

    Any ideas?

    I make WordPress websites using Genesis Framework.

    Mobile responsive is only solution or else you can go for different layout for mobile users. If you don't shrink width-wise, then mobile view will be spread out horizontally and no one like to navigate horizontally on mobile.
