I've got some posts (and pages as well) for events. For each event, I created a box that shows when, where, etc. I just put it in the text editor as a floating div with some CSS formatting.

But this is not easily editable by my client. They're probably going to want to use the visual editor and that messes it up. In fact, just clicking between the two messes up the paragraph tags.

Is there a way to add this and make it easy for someone to edit and create new events with this box and formatting?

It appears on both posts and pages ... I think I had a good reason to use both, but can't remember at the moment. So ideally, the solution would work for both. If not, I'll go back and figure out why I thought I needed some to be pages.

    Thanks in advance!

I'd look into creating a custom shortcode (and possible putting a button in the editor for your client) or using custom fields. Both of those topics would have plenty of tutorials available via Google, if you needed help getting started. 🙂

    Good luck!

Thanks Lauren. I guess I knew I'd have to learn custom fields sometime. It took some work, but I got it set up using the Advanced Custom Fields plugin and eventually figured out how to hook them into the page!
