I have set up the website I want using the Genesis Sample framework. But now I need a great looking home page. I'm thinking about adding in a homepage template from the Executive Pro theme or another theme with the 3-5 widgets. Can I do that safely? Please advise how to start or if a link for a tutorial on how to do this.

    Thank you. Please advise.

There's no tutorial to do that but its very easy

    Copy over the front-page.php file

Copy over the PHP code from the functions.php file which registers the front page widgets

Find all the CSS classes in the front page template and search for them in the style.css file to find all the CSS

Here's an example of using the Magazine Pro front page on Eleven40.
