Would like to be able to turn off the display of blog posts on the homepage of a Prose site. Checked with tech support, and Nick told me

You will need to remove the genesis_do_loop action in your home page.

and suggested I come here for help.

If I remove genesis_do_loop, does that also remove the sidebar???

And I'm sure it's not as simple as just deleting that one line of code. . .

    Thanks,
    Susanna

Nicks right however I'm pretty sure you can also install the new Genesis Prose plugin and add widgets to your home page.

This plugin works well with the Genesis Layout Extras plugin and i have tested both plugins and written a report on how they help to customize Prose without any coding.

It enables you to set the layout for the home page and other pages.

Little tip if you don't mind: Install WordPress locally with a copy of your theme to test code and plugins.

This is what i do myself and suggest to everyone that's designing sites.

Thanks, Brad. I may go back and try the Prose Extras plugin again.
