I am on Genesis with child theme Turn Key and I want to use rich pins on Pinterest.
TO do that I need to have my site incorporated with Schema
I gather that it is integrated into Genesis 2.0 which I believe I am using - but not sure what I need to do to use it?
Help please.
Thanks
http://findyourhomeLI.comApril 16, 2014 at 10:27 am #100690Kristie HillMemberHi! I just activated rich pins for my website. The Genesis SEO settings is exactly what is needed for a rich article pin. On each post, make sure you fill out the Theme SEO settings. The Custom document title will be the bold title under a pin and the meta description will be the short blurb in gray under the pinned image.
The beauty of Genesis, it makes everything so much easier.
All you need to do is vaidate your website by linking a post that you have filled out the SEO settings for and then apply for approval.
It took 2 weeks for my blog to be approved for rich pins. I did not get an email saying I was approved, it just started working after 2 weeks.

February 24, 2015 at 9:42 am #142025MartinaMemberIt doesn't work in my case. I always got after trying to validate that message:
" It looks like your URL is missing some required info. Please check the documentation and add anything that's missing."
I don't know what could be missing. I have filled all the seo data in that particular article (all the data but the redirect URL) and tried to validate with that URL:
but I can't get it:) Is the cause the empty field "redirect URL"? If so, what kind of text am I supposed to type in that field?
Has anybody an advise for me? I'd really appreciate!
BTW, I use Genesis with Eleven40.February 24, 2015 at 11:17 am #142032Kristie HillMemberHi Martina, as of last week, Pinterest is not recognizing Genesis' Schmea markup (my rich pins were enabled and disappeared last week).
I have been talking with studiopress support and will be contacting pinterest today with the issue.
Will keep you posted.

http://pinplugins.com/plugins/article-rich-pins/
If yes, does ist work?
Does ist override the Genesis SEO Features?Or has anybody any better idea how to get Article Rich Pins with Genesis on Pinterest?
Thanks for any advice!
March 5, 2015 at 9:11 am #143319MartinaMemberI've sent the questions to the company and they state as follows:
Hi Martina,
We do have customers using Genesis. Some have issues some do not.
This plugin does not override SEO features to my knowledge but we do not test with Genesis so I can't say for sure. I do not recall anyone reporting tis as an issue.
We do offer a 60 day money back guarantee.
Please forward any further questions.
Thanks,
So I'm not any step further ...
Anybody?March 5, 2015 at 9:28 am #143324Kristie HillMemberI did hear back from the Pinterest. They are no longer supporting the "headline" tag, which Genesis uses for the title tag. Pinterest uses "name".
I have contact StudioPress support and they have sent the issue on to the developers. In the future, I would love to have Genesis optimize for Pinterest - it is the new Google after all.
For now, the only options are A: use Yoast's WordPress SEO plugin or B: Agus Mu contacted me via facebook when I posted my concern on Facebook and is creating a plugin for Genesis specific that changes the Schema.org markup inside genesis to match Pinterest's requests, it is still in beta, but you can reach out to him here (just send personal message) to see if you can test it out. https://www.facebook.com/agusmu777?fref=ufi
I did and it worked perfectly! My rich pins are back. Which is a big deal to me, because I lost about 200 visits a day while Rich Pins was down.

March 5, 2015 at 9:39 am #143327MartinaMemberThanks, Kristie. I know about Yoast's but I think they override the SEO Features from the Genesis Template as well.
I'll get in touch with Agus Mu, thank for your advice.
I am aware that Pinterest is already a big player in online business and that's the reason I keep on this to get that resolved ...
I'll get back on this as soon as I get a reply.March 6, 2015 at 5:57 am #143419MartinaMemberI have contacted Agus Mu thru Facebook and he has sent me the plugin.
And ... it works!!!
The pin is finally validated!
Thank you so much for your advice!
