I have the Modern Studio Pro theme. URL: http://itsolutionsbycmit.com

I've never had so much trouble finding and customizing the basic structure of a WordPress site!

Most importantly, I need to be able to adjust the width of the content areas and sidebars, as well as the width of the main container.

It would also really help to know what these proportions are right now, whether they are specifically set as a number of pixels, or if they are percentages of the whole. I do have Firebug, but the divisions and classes it shows me aren't always what I find when I look at the stylesheets, and there's no way to see the site's HTML -- or is there?

    Hi,

I guess you are running into problems because Modern Studio Pro is one of the few child themes that is following the mobile-first philosophy.
Many of the "structural" dimensions you see on your desktop are set up in the min-width 930px media query.
    e.g.: http://prntscr.com/c502fh
    http://prntscr.com/c502uh

You can see the site's HTML markup in the Developer Tools or when you look at the page source.

Thank you for pointing that out! I now know how to change my dimensions -- or, at least, I know the theory. I was able to experimentally change my content area and some colors. 🙂
