Hover Colors

This should be relatively simple...
How do I edit the hover colors of "genesis", "hello world", "1 comment (edit)", "about/contact," etc. to be the same hover colors as my social media icons (#db0606). Currently, most of them are green as you can tell and I am trying to get them changed to white.

Hi,
You can change the colors by editing your style.css. The a and a:hover specify the color of the most items. There may be others in your style.css that target more specific elements, but that should be a good start.

a {
	border-bottom: 1px dotted #000;
	color: #000;  
	text-decoration: none;
}

a:hover {
	color: #2a8a15;
	border-bottom: 1px dotted #2a8a15;
}

Thank you for explaining that! That makes perfect sense to me. I just went to look in my editor and was finding it hard to figure out which background hover color was set for what word on the page. For example. I want to change the "about" and "contact" background hover color but I didn't see that... Is there a trick for knowing where things are located in the style.css?

Yes, install a web inspector on your browser of choice, then you will be able to select each element and the web inspector will show the corresponding css with the line number. Moody Riviera shared some links to tutorials HERE

Yes, I think the tutorials are for Chrome, but Firebug does the same although the interface is a little different.

Okay, I went ahead and downloaded and played around a little. Still found it a little tough to figure out. I found the HTML tab looks more familiar than the CSS tab.

Any more tips?
