I've modified the Modern Portfolio theme so I can use Featured Posts AND Pages widgets in the 'Portfolio' and 'Blog' sections on the Homepage. My dev site is here:

    http://kiersdev.com/hatheway1/

As you can see though, in the bottom 'Blog' section, my widgets aren't styled the same and I'm unsure where/how to fix that. Ideally, I can get the right two 'Featured Page' widgets to be styled (font sizes etc) the same as the 'Featured Post' widget on the far left.

Any help/points in the right direction much appreciated.

    Thanks.

Did you ever get this figured out? I’d be happy to escalate if you are still looking for resolution.

    Kent,
I would REALLY appreciate if you could share the code you used to be able to use Featured posts and Featured pages in the Portfolio section.

I've been stuck on this for a few days now 🙁

    Thanks 🙂

    Magz,

Never got it to work and reworked the homepage to do without it. Live site is here: http://www.coolsmiles.ca/, feel free to peep the code as you wish.

    Hi Kent,
    Thanks I'll have a look.
Have managed it but now the site is getting cut off on the left side on ipad, and iPhone is a mess!
Also, featured posts in blog section are displaying vertically.

    Any thoughts on either?
