Hi. I have a bitsa theme, bits of this theme and bits of that theme!

The primary base is Centric but I'm using the News-Pro front-page (have adjusted functions and style files to suit).

I have added widgets to the home-top area, but it is still showing the latest posts below that (default loop). How do I tell it that when I have a widget it must stop that?

Unfortunately the site is not live so I cannot give you a link at the moment.

    Cheers

You need to remove the loop, such as in this tutorial: http://genesissnippets.com/genesis-custom-loop/, or this one: http://wpsites.net/web-design/remove-posts-display-home-page/

    Edit:
Note, you can check if any of the widgets are active, and only remove the loop in that instance.

Thanks Lauren, but that snippet is already in the front-page. I am using the default front-page of News-Pro.

ok, I think it's because there's something in the centric theme that is over-riding it. Guess I'll just have to start a theme from scratch!
