    Hey everyone,
I've looked through all the posts I could find that included the grid loop feature. I've installed the grid loop plugin created by Bill Erickson. I'm using the Genesis Sample Child Theme.

I'm looking for a page template that has static content in the upper half of the page and a featured posts grid loop for the bottom half of the page. All the navigation and widgets would be the same as my theme.

Has anyone seen a template or know how to accomplish this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you so much.
    Jack

There's many ways to do this.

All the navigation and widgets would be the same as my theme.

    What widgets do you want?

You can copy a front page or home template and rename it.

Or you can create widgets and then add the grid loop after the widgets

    Brad,
Would I still use the plugin or would I need a custom grid loop?

You wouldn't have a sample in your 500+ studiopress tutorials would you? 🙂

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

    Probably do.

I prefer custom code because its easy to customize

Sounds like you want widgets and then a grid loop?

I would go for inline widgets and then add a grid loop after.
