Help!How to use plugin to add add a "custom post type" (e.g. Video) into a theme

My previous theme (Videotube) had a "custom post type" VIDEO category built into the theme BUT now I am trying to use Studio Press' Wellness Pro, all the videos from the old theme (1) aren't showing up and (2) the old links don't work...
e.g.
https://xyz.com/VIDEO/rihanna-workout-abs
http://xyz.com/VIDEO/jillian-michaels-yoga

StudioPress support said: "You can use a plugin to add the custom post type back into your site, such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/ , but it must match how the theme was adding it."

How do I do this to migrate the VIDEO CATEGORY posts from the old theme to the new theme?

In your child themes functions file, add this first snippet which creates a custom post type named members and swap out all instances of members in the code with the name of your CPT, video.

No need for a plugin
