    I've been using Magazine Pro with the Homepage widgets and the Genesis Featured Posts Widgets plugin to show recent and random posts.
    Well long story short I tried out the Atomic Blocks plugin with one of the recent updates and changed my Homepage. Now, I really want to go back to using Genesis Featured Posts and the Homepage Widgets but for the life of me I can't remember how I originally achieved it. Could someone please help?
    I do remember a page with a tutorial that made it very easy but I can't find that either - if someone here knows one I'd really appreciate a link.

    Go to Settings > Reading. If you have the new home page set for the static page, turn that off.

    And set it to what?
    I created a new page and set it to that, set up the home page with the widgets but it doesn't change from showing a list of my latest posts.

    EDIT -- It doesn't display my latest posts, but it shows the same posts everytime it's refreshed.

    Turn that off. If you want the widgetized home page to display, you need to turn OFF the static page.

    You mean set it to "Latest Posts" right?
    I did that, but then what? I'm adding Genesis Featured Posts to the Home page widgets (Home Top, Middle and Bottom) but nothing is changing. I even go to the Widgets Option in the Customizer and those Widget areas are not showing. I'm getting a "Your theme has 5 other widget areas, but this particular page doesn’t display them."

    It sounds like you may have re-named the front-page.php file or you completely removed it.

    Ok, would Atomic Blocks have done that?

    I know Genesis is a little different. Is there a tutorial on creating one?

    No Atomic Blocks would not have deactivated the widgetized home. Check you theme folder on the server. See if you have a front-page.php file. If you don't, you need to add it back. Or you possibly could have renamed it. Either way, you need the front-page.php file along with adding widgets. Try creating a blank page called "Home". Then set that to Static and the Blog page as the Posts page. See if that brings it back.

    First, thank you very much for your assistance helping me. I do appreciate it.
    But.....
    I added the front-page.php to my child theme folder - but what should I include in it? I added this to it.

    <?php
    /**
     * This file adds the Front Page Template to any Genesis Child Theme.
     */

    genesis();

    Created the blank page "Home" like you suggested, set the Static setting to the Home Page and still no widgets. Just to make sure I went back and looked at my functions.php and made sure they were being called.

    You need to use the old version of the theme as the new one is coded for Gutenberg and doesn't include the front page template or code to register the widgets in functions.php.
